The Shore Porters Society

Brief

Our Approach
We began with a thorough audit of the existing site, cataloguing every broken element, performance bottleneck, and missed opportunity. From there, we developed a custom WordPress build designed to honour Shore Porters' remarkable 520+ year heritage whilst delivering a modern, conversion-focused user experience.
The design draws on the Society's established brand identity - the red, white, and blue palette rooted in their history at Aberdeen Harbour - and pairs it with clean, confident layouts that communicate professionalism and trust at every touchpoint. Custom iconography was introduced across the services sections, making it easy for visitors to navigate between domestic removals, international moves, fine art and antiques, storage, and commercial services.
We restructured the site architecture with both users and search engines in mind. Service pages were built out with locally-optimised, buyer-intent content targeting the high-volume keywords that matter most to the business. A reviews section was prominently integrated to showcase Shore Porters' outstanding track record - with a 9.4/10 rating across 468+ reviews on Referenceline - building immediate trust with prospective customers.
A comprehensive blog and insights section was implemented, giving the team a platform to publish regular content around completed moves, industry expertise, and moving advice. This not only supports their authority but feeds directly into the ongoing Local SEO and GEO strategy.
Performance was a priority throughout. The new build delivered significantly improved loading times, optimised image delivery, and clean code - all contributing to the technical foundation required for strong search visibility.
The results speak for themselves. Shore Porters now enjoys multiple #1 positions in Google Local Maps and organic results for high-volume, local buyer-intent keywords – exactly where their 520+ year heritage deserves to be.
